Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals Collection

Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals Collection:  Shimmer Lip Glosses

Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals Collection includes three new shades of Shimmer Lip Gloss (Coral Sand — a golden peach; Golden Nectar — a peach coral shimmer; and Sunset Beach — a golden pink coral). Both Coral Sand and Sunset Beach are limited edition. Each gloss retails for $20.00 and contains 0.14 fl. oz.

  • Sunset Beach is a sheer, peachy-coral with golden shimmer. It has a very wet, kind of creamy/milky look on lips with just a hint of shimmer.
  • Coral Sand is a sheer, bronzy peach with peach-gold shimmer. This has more of a traditional shimmer gloss look — sheer with noticeable golden shimmer.

Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Lip Glosses are thick, sticky, and always run on the sheer side (so those who love pigmented glosses, look elsewhere). They are designed to be subtle and glossy with light shimmer–not thick, opaque, richly colored glosses, for reference. Because they are thicker and tackier, they last longer than most glosses (I get about three to four hours).

Two things I wish would change about this product, though: a better applicator and more for your money. The applicator is a stubby plastic-y bristled brush that’s tiny and doesn’t feel great on lips. I wish it had a doe-foot applicator or a more traditional brush applicator. For the price tag, even against its competitors in the price range, you just don’t get that much gloss in each tube for the price, so they are on the pricier side.  (Realistically, if you have a ton of glosses, the amount probably isn’t a big deal, since you’re unlikely to finish it.)

Did you grab any of the new Shimmer Lip Glosses?

I like Coral Sand, it looks very natural and subtle yet makes the lips look really good =] I might have to look into it

  2. Anitacska

I only own 1 Bobbi Brown gloss, but it’s horribly sticky for my liking, so I won’t be getting any of these.

  3. I love Sunset Beach on you!

Can you do a review on the coral cabana cream blush? I just bought it because of the review in allure magazine. It is really pigmented and can also be sheer if you want it to. I am an NW43.

I love Coral Sand, the color gives a fresh summer look but it’s still natural at the same time.

  6. Angela

Looks like MAC Liqueur l/g. Am I right?

  7. Ferarri

Not exciting at all. Looks like any of my estee lauder glosses. Will pass. Thanks for the swatches.

I think Bobbi lipglosses are a rip off. I’ve have purchased a few, but they are so small for the price ($19 here in DC), that they just aren’t worth it. In addition, the brush gets all mangled after a few applications of pulling it in and out of the tube. I’d rather spend a few extra bucks and get a Chanel glossimer.

  9. It’s always surprising how different products look on different skin tones. I’ve seen Sunset Beach on several people and it can go from looking glowy-glittery amazing to sallow and gritty.

  10. I like the colors! I have a BB gloss but I find that they sort of… smell! haha

  11. cloudburst

They are both pretty but a bit sheer – I think I can skip.

I think these will look amazing on the new coral lipsticks they have out

I love the colours here but i hate the brush and formula- it’s pretty pricey considering that you get so little gloss! Can you recommend any dupes from mac etc for all three colours? Thanks!

Does anyone know if the company switched the names? got “sunset beach” in the mail today but it is the shade of the swatches of “coral sand” above. I bought sunset beach looking for a sparkly goldish gloss, but instead got a pure coral gloss I don’t care for :-/. does anyone think the company mixed it up? so confused :(

    • Hi Ashley,

I checked mine, and they’re listed right (based on color & the label on them), but I looked online, and I think Coral Sand is the one you’re looking for. The products in this post are samples from Bobbi Brown, so they may not have been labeled properly.

Hi Christine, thank you very much for taking the time to answer me! thanks for looking. that’s OK, I am going to return it. I think the company decided to switch the names or just didn’t label them right because after searching for pictures online I saw that indeed susnset beach is the coral one.
hugs and good luck on your finals =)

My mom is dying for me to get Bobbi Brown- but the problem is, I hate it! How come everything is soooo sheer? I WANT MAAAACCCCC!!! I think the colours are nice, but a tiny bit pigmented please?
