I would actually agree with their sentiment that this is a good alternative for days when you want to opt for brown mascara. I, personally, have not yet had that day come (and I don’t know if it ever will… maybe in ten years?). However, the BADgal formula proves to give me decent volume and lash thickness without clumping my lashes too much until the third coat. I don’t think it’s noticeably plum, especially on a bare eye; I imagine you might see more plum-action when it’s paired with some gold-based shadows. No smudging or flaking after several hours of wear either!

It’s not OTT purple or anything, and since I have black lashes, it’s harder for a colored mascara to go on vibrantly or anything like that!
Looks cool, and def. looks pretty on you, but it doesn’t look plum. Sad. That would have been pretty cool.
Maybe if you did a coat of white beforehand, you’d get more plum. My lashes are black, so that’s not helping!
I really would adore this (I never ever use black, just browns and dark reds and plums like this!) but they no longer carry Benefit in The Bay and so there is nowhere here in my city to buy Benefit anymore… I think shoppers carries some of their products, but I know they don’t carry much so I have no idea if they’ll get this in
