2012 Budget Beauty Brand of the Year

L’Oreal takes top honors this year, with the release of fantastic products such as their Infallible Eyeshadows and Colour Riche Nail Lacquers, in addition to their existing range.  But these two new formulas really clinched the win this year, because they weren’t just memorable, but truly fantastic products that captivated the beauty community at large.  L’Oreal also has excellent core products, like their Lineur Intense, along with much of the L’Oreal HIP range.

2012 Best Budget New Product

L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows are like a hybrid of loose and pressed eyeshadow–it’s highly compacted, so it seems like a pressed eyeshadow at first, but you can loose bits of the product if you want, too.  It can be used wet or dry, and the formula has a variety of colors to wear from.  There are some fantastic shades with rich color payoffs, soft and finely-milled textures, and long-wear.

2013 Best Budget Liquid Eyeliner

With a felt-tip applicator, this pen gives precision results in an affordable package. Rich, intense color glides along effortlessly and stays on all day.

2013 Best Budget Nail Lacquer

L’Oreal Colour Riche launched in the past year or so, but it’s a fantastic range with a killer formula.  They’ve been releasing some interesting shades, too, but the pigmentation, flow, and wear of the polishes is really why it’s a winner!  Some of the recent shades I’ve really liked have been The Queen’s Might (pinky-red), The Queen’s Ambition (silver glitter in black), and VIP Status (smoky gray-blue).
