Anne Hathaway @ 2011 Oscars

Anne Hathaway @ 2011 Oscars

Anne Hathaway arrives at the 2011 Oscars on Sunday, February 27th. Celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee created her look.

“Anne wore a red Valentino Couture archive dress on the red carpet. The look was centered around a thin black lined eye with a defined socket and a deep rose lip stain. For a base, I used CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup in Limpide, which I used throughout the show. For concelear, I used Kanebo Brush Type Concealer in CB 1 Light. To create a fresh glow on her cheeks, I used CHANEL Powder Blush in Fresque, and defined cheek bones with Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium. I created a black line created with Bobbi Brown longwear gel liner in Black Ink. The eye socket was defined with Illamasqua Powder Eye Shadow in Truth, and I applied CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir. On her lips, I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Rivoli, and lightly powdered over her mouth for a matte effect. In between changes I used By Terry Rose Salve to remove lip colors and keep lips fresh.”

Frederic Fekkai’s Adir Abergel tended to the tresses of Host, Anne Hathaway. It was a modern take on an Edwardian influenced style accented with a bohemian flair; a soft, loose style with beautiful shine.

Begin by parting the hair down the center and apply Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip to the hair from roots ends. Blow-dry the hair using Fekkai Round Brush. Next, pull hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, making sure to cover the ears. Then twist the ponytail into a loose knot. The key is keeping it loose for a touch of bohemian flair. It’s almost like a draping around the face with wispy pieces of hair coming out softly. Finish the look by spraying the Fekkai Coiff™ Sheer Hold Hairspray.
