Anne Hathaway – 2011 Golden Globe Awards – Hair & Makeup

Anne Hathaway @ 2011 Golden Globe Awards
Anne Hathaway @ 68th Golden Globe Awards
Anne Hathaway wears a sequin-heavy bronze dress with a plunging back.
Makeup How-to
“Anne wore a nude rose sequin gown. The dress featured a strong shoulder, so I wanted to make sure the make up was approachable and feminine to allow the dress its full attention.” — Kate Lee
I used CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate to add an intense boost of hydration to the skin. Next I used Nars Oil free pro prime to help the make up to stay put. The foundation was CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup, I love its dewy finish. I used Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder in Medium to pop Anne’s cheekbones. On the eyes, I used CHANEL Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Sand, which is like a toasty rose gold. In the socket I added depth by adding a little taupe shadow. I curled the lashes, applied one soft coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir, my go-to for all award shows! Her lips were prepped with CHANEL Hydramax + Active Lip Care, then blotted and given a coat of CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Mademoiselle, and then topped with CHANEL Coco Shine in Bel Ami which gave the rose a violet hue (available in April). I tucked the lip color plus the CHANEL Natural Finish Pressed Powder compact inside her purse, and off she went!”
Hair How-to
Adir Abergel for Frederic Fekkai created a refined but casual bohemian style for Hathaway. Abergel applied Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Styling Whip and sprayed Fekkai Coiff™ Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel from the roots to the end of the hair. Next, he blow dried the hair lightly with his hands, letting her natural wave surface. With a 1” barrel, he curled the hair away from the face, placing into pin curls. Abergel let the hair cool. As he took the pin curls out, Abergel let the hair fall naturally into place with a center but messier part to achieve the bohemian vibe. Finally, he secured the look by spraying Fekkai Coiff™ Sheer Hold Hairspray.

The makeup and the dress go perfectly together!
Wow. Just Wow. I love everything about this look, dress, hair, makeup- all of it!
I love low-back dresses. She looks great.
Beautiful all around. I wish there was a shot of the front of the dress, though, as well!
WOW. She is so perfect!!
Oh Hai there perfection! *bows* We’re not worthy!
She epitomizes true hollywood glamour.
I love it all! My fav dress so far. I wish she would open her lips all the way when she smiles tho
love her!!!
She looks amazing, though I am obviously behind the times becuase I thought she was a spokesperson for Lancome…
That dress is something else, though I can’t help but wonder how hellishly uncomfortable it must be to sit it with all those sequins and beads! Practicality aside though, stunning!
I did not dig her dress, it was just awkward and the back not being actually full blown backless but a sheer nylony thing was just not looking good. But she did look very pretty in her face and hair.
Such a brave dress! Absolutely love it!
Beautiful!:)
The colours are perfect, and the dress just daring enough with that low back.
The whole colour palette of this look is fantastic. I looks like she even has rose-gold highlights in her hair. I hate the earings though.
I think her hair and make-up are gorgeous, but the dress just doesn’t look right to me.
So pretty. I love everything about the look.
I always love her eyes! She looks gorgeous in this dress!
Anne looks stunning! The hair, dress and makeup was matched perfectly!
My Mademoiselle.
She knows how to dress to impress:)
Anne Hathaway is the modern starlet I most want to see succeed. She has an old-Hollywood glamour about her that really resonates.
Super sexy
i love this because it is very different from what she usually wears, and she looks beautiful…..
She looks gorgeous! Love the dress and the makeup goes real well with it.
I really like Anne’s look. Like the mua said, it’s soft and feminine but very flattering. Love the berry lip, but I’ve always thought she looked good in that (Devil Wears Prada). I prefer this look on celebs where it’s not something huge and freaky (no offense to those who do go that route). I think she wore this very beautifully.
i am definitely no fan of sequins! though the silhouette of the dress is very lovely and hathaway looks gorgeous as usual!
Love the look. Her make-up and hair looks great and natural.
That dress is very Joan Collins from the 80′s agree?
But the natural make-up and hair saves it and gives it a modern spin.
ridiculously amazing. I bow to you. i do think a smudgier/smokier/darker eye would have added a cooler edge.
She was incredibly gorgeous! Every inch of her was absolutely perfect, even her manicure! I noticed a nude pink that looked like her skin tone, so lovely! I’m going to do the makeup for my cousin who is getting married next month and this is the makeup I chose. I’m going to pay to a hairstylist to do her hair that day, like a gift, and I’m going to choose this hair too! honey highlights and everything! But we’ll use a flower on her hair, she will look so stunning, she’s just as beautiful, fair-skinned, wide-eyed as Anne! I’m so excited I could find what Anne’s makeup artist did!
