I didnt love the hair. But she is totally a diva. She stands a not so amazing dress perfectly, as it was the most beautiful dress ever.
Loving the dress, very old Hollywood and I like that she risked wearing it. I’m wondering if it’s actually vintage. Her eye makeup is gorgeous and plays up the green in her eyes to match the dress, but I would’ve loved to see more cheek color and a slightly more rosy lip.
I’m not the biggest Angelina fan, but I am loving this look altogether!
The color of the dress is beautiful. I’m usually not a fan of sequins in dresses, but there’s just the right amount. ^^
As for the make-up, it’s flawless. Beautiful lashes.

I LOVED ANGELiNA JOLiE in her emerald green atelier versace gown!! She was stunning, as per usual!! The makeup was right on the money-anything more rosey on her lips/cheeks would’ve been too much going on-and for a woman as naturally stunning as she is, she doesn’t need to pull out all of the stops!! The nude lip is her signature- it’s the nude lip that the majority of us strive to emulate!! Furthermore, the dress magically made her beautiful eyes PoP!! Her skin was a glow! Her hair looked oh so shiny and healthy, HOWEVER i would have loved to have seen some more volume and lift (not in the 80′s dynasty way, but) in a bombshell blow-out type of way (which is one of her hair signatures)!!

No show-stealing flamboyance or drama, just sincerity, restraint and professionalism. A pleasure to see. I hope the kids were watching at home.

love the dress but her hair made it look to blah. it looks like she just didnt have time to get it done maybe a half up do would have made the whole outfit look more glam. but angie is always beautiful.

Love the emerald green on Angelina, but hate the cut of the dress. It’s way too matronly. On a positive note, her skin is flawless.
It would have been nice of Brad to lose the shades. Still, he showed up, dressed appropriately with the beard tamed and playing escort. I’m pretty sure elegant-matronly was precisely the intended effect. You can see her picking just enough color to be noticeable but a dress, makeup and demeanour that couldn’t be faulted in the Queen of England. Not a hint of extra skin or tattoo showing, close to her man, looking as close as she can to demure. You can sort of tell this one took some effort between them but definitely worth it. No dramatics tonight, just the two people who are terrific actors, have a houseful of kids, and do an awful lot for charity and humanitarian causes.

Makeup is perfection as always. In fact, all the pictures I have seen of her within the last year or so she has been wearing this makeup and that hair. It’s very pretty for her. The dress is lovely. No likey on Angie though. The cut of the bodice, neckline and sleeves are retro but not quite enough up to date to be completely retro. I’m going to be honest and say she looks like this dress came from Joan Collins old closet and Angie cut out the shoulder pads to wear it. Don’t get me wrong, Angie is always perfection, this dress isn’t working for her is all.
I think you just confirmed my feeling on this one. “This dress isn’t working for her at all.” Angie is one very astute woman. She clearly wanted her image tonight to be the slightly-out-of-date but still lovely married woman. Squelch any rumors or drama or hints that there’s anything wrong in her life, marriage, etc.. A deliberately non-competitive look that says I look lovely for my husband but I’m a professional and focused on my work. There’s just enough to stay beautiful without the least hint of anything vaguely wild. Completely covered. Nothing sexy in the cut of the dress. No wild colors, loud accessories. No red hot lips. Extremely minimal.
She’s always had a lot of rumors esp drug-related, all the kids, cheating, Brad’s rebel beard, she just did a movie with a man voted hottest or something, she’s clearly saying with all eyes on her that she’s serious about her work and marriage and staying pulled together. Excellent venue. Picture worth 1000 words. Nice job.
Indeed. I agree and it is always about the image isn’t it? I am trying to teach my teenage daughters who at times feel like ugly duckings when reading fashion mags or watching TV shows. I tell them it’s the look is part of the “product”. The image. Yes many are talented but it’s an image that is also sold.
I’m not a huge fan of Jolie, having said that, the color works for her but the dress itself makes her look so matronly.
I looooove Angelina. But there’s a ‘but’ – she looks like she got ready for the event at the last minute… must be really hard juggling six children, Brado Pitto, movie career and world peace.
