Angelina Jolie at the 2009 SAG Awards
Get the Look
Angelina looked stunning in a dark, navy blue Max Azria gown. Celebrity makeup artist Mary Burton wanted to create a 60’s look and chose to focus on Angelina’s eyes by applying lots of eyeliner and mascara. She used a liquid eyeliner (Lancôme Artliner in Noir) just above the lash line. To compliment Angelina’s eye color and to make her eyes really stand out, she applied a bluish grey eyeshadow (YSL Ombre Solo Double Effect Eyeshadow in #3 Blue Silk) to the eyelid. Finally, she applied several coats of Lancôme Courbe Virtuôse Mascara in Black. Mary added a touch of pink to the apples of the cheeks using Shu Uemura blush in M Pink 31. To create ultra-shiny and luminous lips, Mary used Lancôme Color Fever Gloss in Rose Jolie.
Get the Hair
To capture Angelina’s effortlessly elegant style, hairstylist David Babaii blow dried wet tresses to create a shiny, frizz free foundation. Next, he randomly curled her entire chocolate mane to form beautifully tousled waves. To ensure volume at the root area, spray David Babaii for WildAid Volcanic Ash Root Amplifier. Slightly back comb sections of hair and smooth out with a brush to achieve desired height. Create a low bun at the nape of the neck by gathering sections of curls and securing with black bobby pins. Finish with David Babaii for WildAid Mise En Plis Extra Hold Styling Spray for a dazzling red carpet style.
As much as i love Angie I gotta say she looks a little....dated. Her hair is a mess.. and her Makeup...Well, the Artist missed the mark.. Or it just didn't photograph well. If she wanted to go 60's she should have done more liner.. and winged it. and that shadow has got to be a taupe.
She is making herself look, so old. If Brad wanted to go with someone who does natural, he could have stuck with the Jennifer. But oh well, he wanted babies and she couldn't give them.
I'm not a fan of hers. But her acting is pretty good. And glad to see this photo hasn't anything done, just natural! I hate it when magazines scooping out photos and said she had her wrinkles "done". Not the case, she was at the award. (Magazines used a frowning jolie and a happy picture to compare.) I think a lot of hollywood stars look older than her because they party too much. (Kelly Ripa is 38, but she has way more wrinkles, but that's one reason to love her un-surgical features!) It's hard being in hollywood and being criticized for your looks. I can see why many get plastic surgery young.
This has nothing to do with Angie or the SAG awards, but I think the new layout on the MAC website is pretty nice! Check it out!
I love AJ, she is my idol! It is nice to see an untouched photo, makes everyone look human instead of fake.
There is no way she is wearing the YSL blue silk eyeshadow--she is clearly wearing a neutral taupe type color.
33 is hardly old. She's had lines on her face since she was in her 20s. Sometimes it's just genetics or not taking proper care of your skin.
I didn't mean she is old, I know she is only 33, but she looks rather older her age, maybe it's genetic you are right!
She needs some color somewhere...big time. She looks really pale and boring. I don't see the 60s in this look at all.
The Almighty blessed her in EVERY way. I love her. I wouldn't say it was "60's", but very happy medium. Regardless, he was damn stunning.
I think Angelina is beautiful but I'm not a fan of her style (hair, makeup or cloths). I thought the hair made her look older than usual. The dress did nothing for her curves and her makeup was sorta boring to me
