Amanda Seyfried @ 2010 Oscars – Makeup & Dress Photos

Amanda Seyfried @ 2010 Academy Awards
All I can think about is: “How on earth is she going to sit down in that dress?” Which really just shows you how little I know about fashion!
Makeup How-to
“The look I was going for Amanda was movie star glamour while maintaining a young, fresh and modern feel.” — Monika Blunder
For Amanda’s skin, Monika started off moisturizing her with CHANEL Sublimage Fluid to give her a natural glow. Then she applied CHANEL Teint Innocence Foundation in Gentle Ivory all over her skin. Monika first lined her upper and lower lash line with CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Noir, extending the line past the outer corner and up. Then she blended with a brush to soften any hard lines. Next, she applied the darkest colour in the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Smoky Eyes starting at lash line and blending up towards the brow bone using a variation of the lighter colors in the palette. She finished with CHANEL Soft Touch Eye Shadow in Ivory on the inner corner of top and bottom lash line. To complete the eyes, she curled the lashes and applied three coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir.
CHANEL Powder Blush in Rose Petale gave her a fresh rosy glow on her cheeks. Amanda’s look was completed by applying CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Perle.
Hair How-to
Harry Josh, John Frieda International Creative Consultant, is sharing his styling secrets to get Oscar presenter Amanda Seyfried’s cool, understated look with easy-to-use tips and tricks.
Harry gave Amanda the new Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner in advance as the frizz-fighting formula was essential to smooth and hydrate dry strands and replenish moisture for a nice, smooth blow out.
“These shampoos and conditioners were the perfect way for Amanda to prep her hair,” said Harry. “The look was flat, clean and sleek, so it was important to start the fight against frizz early so that Amanda’s hair would be silky, shiny and totally manageable.”
Harry applied the new Root Awakening Strength Restoring Gel to Amanda’s hair at the roots to help achieve the sleek, flattened shape he was going for. Using a tail comb instead of a round brush to avoid lift, Harry blew the hair out, combing it flat to the head as he dried. Harry then used the Sheer Blonde Crystal Clear Shape & Shimmer Hairspray section by section to hold the style.
“Amanda has such beautiful naturally blonde hair that I wanted to ensure it looked its best all night and didn’t photograph dark – which some finishing sprays can cause. By using a light hairspray you avoid adding residue or darkening the blonde hair.”
Harry finished by creating an extreme, slick side part and pulling Amanda’s hair back into a bun. He left a little bit of the bun sticking out in a fan, a last minute decision he made to reflect the pattern on Amanda’s earrings.
Love it or hate it?

Maybe she reserved two chairs.
LOL, or maybe she has another dress for inside.
Love this!!
SO ELEGANT!!! I think her makeup is so fresh, but the lip color needs to be just a tad bit brighter/darker since she’s blond, fair & wearing white….it kinda all blends together…………..
Love this! Her dress weirdly looks like bubble wrap lol!
LMAO very accurate description!
That dress is awful.
her earings are so pretty….
one of the best and most radiant and fresh red carpet appearances. lolvey face, make up, dress, earrings. she looks nice.
um, no like…and lose the cuff!
On tv this dress looks seriously gray, I did not see blue at all.
Beautiful!
Love her earrings, but the bracelet(s) might have been too much.
I don’t even know what her claim to fame is, but she looks beautiful – except for the cuff which doesn’t quite jive with the outfit
hate the dress!
i love the hair and makeup but the dress is just too ice princess for me.
so pretty..the material of the dress looks to be the same as the one jlo wore but hella prettier design.
I’m not really a fan of her hair, but at least her makeup is helping her eyes stand out. The dress seems kind of painfully flat on top, I wonder how many actresses can wear dresses to flat on top without crying from breast smushing.
I feel like she’s missing a veil, bouquet of flowers, and the groom. I love her but not a fan of this dress.
This screams “meh” to me.
I feel like there is someone hiding underneath her dress, ready to jump out! PEEKABOO!
This is like the fabric of jlos dress. idk how i feel about it. she looks beautiful though.
The color of the dress is very bland..looks like the texture of bubble wrap. Perhaps the color is not showing up well in the photo? Her hair and makeup are lovely.
I think her whole look is undefined. I’d like to have seen either stronger brows, eyes or lips.
marie antoinette much?
ugh, i hate her dress. It looks like bubble wrap
Looks like her and Jlo got dresses from the same designer! I think Amanda is an amazing actress and this dress is kind of nice…Jlo’s dress…….not so much.
Not crazy about the bodice on this gown, but she looks beautiful.
Lovely. But I would have made the lips a wee bit brighter. She is very pale, so a darker lip could have made this look edgy and very elegant instead of just… nice. Love the bracelet though.
so i see those dresses are in style this season
i guess ima hit my UPS store and stock up on some bubble wrap
good thing shes so beautiful
NOT good. Looks like a curtain.
Always lovely but the dress overpowered her.
omg is that j.lo’s bubble wrap dress?? LoL
My favourite, angelic.
makeup super lovely but The dress completely washes her off. More colour, please!!
