Fashion Patch Mineralize Eyeshadow
MAC Cosmetics Colour Craft Collection Review – Part 1
OVERALL, the mineralize eyeshadow quads seem to have smoother, softer textures with more pigmented shades compared to previous mineralize eyeshdaow releases. Every year, mineralize collections sucker me in, even though I’ve never been a huge fan of the product line-up (particularly eyeshadows). This year is no different — lots of shades and combinations to choose from, with many wearable shades. There’s no instant-grab-your-attention-color like Sea & Sky, but the majority of the mineralize eyeshadows seem perfect for summer-wear.

The lipglasses were far more pigmented than spring’s Sugarsweet lipglasses were, though they’re not ultra opaque glosses either–just in case you thought they were. They’re semi-sheer glosses with some running sheerer and others feeling more opaque. The texture is similar to Sugarsweet lipglasses, which was semi-thin and not as sticky as traditional lipglass. I will never understand the increased prices on these, as regular lipglass is $14.00 for 0.17 oz. while these are $18.00 for 0.16 oz. The packaging holds fingerprints, it’s sharp, and the marbelized effect is a novelty (it doesn’t feel like it’s very functional). The lipsticks offered a good range of shades, and there are a few shades we haven’t seen before/not often, and that is always a welcome addition!
P.S. – This review is broken up into two parts, just because there is SO much to read and digest. I don’t want to get a bunch of tl;dr comments ;) The blushes/skinfinishes and brushes are up next!

Four Easy Makeup Looks Using MAC Stars ‘n Rockets Eyeshadow
Match it with hot pinks for a bold and bright look that’s a little bit over the top, but totally fun!
With greens and blues for a truly fun combination that’s perfect for spring! (One of my all-time favorite looks!)
For springy pastels, Stars ‘n Rockets has the best mix of iridescence and color to brighten up any look.
On the lash line to complete any purple-themed eyeshadow combination. Plus, it has a good level of shimmer and brightness that it just might open up your peepers, too. Double-duty, hello!
What do you like to wear Stars ‘n Rockets with?

Kitty Kouture is a short but sweet collection, and it will rob you blind after you take one look at all of the Swarovski crystals on the blinged out compact. For those wondering, the bling-bling kitty chain on the dazzleglasses is removable. The packaging for the dazzleglasses is well-done with black box packaging with a glittery kitty on the outside (not Swarovski crystals!). The kitty charm has a clear plastic sheet overlayed on the front and back, to only be removed if you want to reduce the value ;P
The compact is silver with plenty of Swarovski crystals, and inside is the sheer mystery powder. I’m not a big fan of the sheer mystery powder; it just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s like a subpar to average pressed powder. I also find the shade range very limiting–Medium Plus is too dark but Light Medium is too light! I overheard a lot of people are getting Dark Secret–I’m thinking maybe people are going to contour with it instead. I really see this compact as a collector’s item, and by that, I do mean Hello Kitty collector’s item.
Kitty Kouture is a sheer, glittery/shimmery milky pink shade. It’s really not going to give you a ton of color, but it is pretty and catches the eye. I would say of the two dazzleglasses from KK, this is the one that dazzled me the most. (Oh, punny.)
Dazzlepuss is a slightly darker, deeper pink–kind of like a medium pink–with just as much glitter in it. It has more color to it in the swatch, but it’s still very sheer on the lips. This one may show up as a light pink tint if your lips aren’t too pigmented.

Posted in: Le Metier de Beaute, Lip Products, Lipgloss

Remember how there was one Le Metier de Beaute gloss that slipped away (aka out of stock)? I ordered it off of Neiman Marcus Online last week (they had free shipping!), and it arrived yesterday. I thought I’d share it, because I love, love, LOVE IT!
The color is Papaya Creme ($36), and it’s this beautiful, shimmering shade of coppery-peachy-gold. The color itself is stunning (at least to me!), but the magic lies in the gloss’ pigmentation and wearing power. It goes on so much like it swatches, and in a gloss, this doesn’t happen nearly enough (Hello Kitty glosses, I’m talkin’ to you!). These glosses also wear for hours without touchups required, too!
