  12. whoa! i haven’t seen these posts in awhile! :) i was JUST looking through some of the old ones last weekend! How funny that it’s resurected around the same time! Good combos! I like these posts btw – For me they’re kind of like a jumping off point/inspiration creator/sludge clearer (when i get too “inside my own head” coming up with looks).

    • I judge post quality by comments, and the last few of these types of posts got pretty minimal comments… and thus, hiatus!

      Happy you enjoyed it :)

      • I figured as much actually… I sometimes don’t post replies even though I enjoy a post. It’s something that I should get in the habit of doing though – That’s kind of an easy way to tell that something is popular after all :)

        • lol, yep! I think it’s worse when I see how many times a post is viewed and no comments, LOL. I’m like, “Oh, people hated it!” I know it’s not always true, but comments definitely give me an idea of what works or doesn’t work!

Okay, I haven’t commented in a while but I just need to say that your site is incredibly informative and definitely my go-to source to get the scoop on new collections. thank you so much :) hope school is going well

Can you also do a tutorial on the Lustre Drops?! ;)

  14. I love them all!!! Especially from #2 to #8!!!!! Thanks for all the suggestions!

Thanks for the great ideas. so pretty. My faves are 1, 2, and 5. Sometimes I buy these products and I want to wear them right away, but don’t have time to play around with them too much. This helps a lot. I can lay everything out in preparation for work tomorrow!

  16. Lin

Love it! Thanks for doing this and inspiring a ton of ideas! #6 is my fave so far. But what’s missing is… you modelling these looks! :D

  17. Vanessa

I love the combos! Everything looks gorgeous paired together. Way to go, Christine!

  18. Wendy M.

Love combination # 3 seems very wearable

  21. so cool! while i’m not getting anything from the collection (i’ve really not been feeling mac lately…have found too many other fun brands) i can take these ideas and use products i already have! thanks christine! :)

  22. Jacquelyn

i didn’t really think the collection appealed to me until i saw this! one, five, and six makes me want to indulge on it all!

  23. Grace

Combo * sounds the most interesting. I love the idea of the vibrant colors going up into a golden sunset using Amber Lights in the crease. Easy Lounger lipglass is shockingly goregous with the multidimensional pearl. The pearl is so well concentrated. For those who were disappointed in Superglass give the lipglasses a shot. The pearl is very sophisticated and gives lips a fabulous dimension. Must have a backup of Easy Lounger lipglass. No wonder it sold out the first day…

  24. kate

thanks for this christine! love it

  25. I think my favourite is combination 8! ^^

  26. Stephanie

  28. PJ

You are a genius! I really love #8. I love the way you organized this post with the blocks of swatches. Thanks for taking the time to do this.:)

  29. Ana

I canĀ“t choose only one, I love all!!! really beautiful and cheerful for summer =)

  30. Jody

I also love these kind of posts. Not only a good idea for combinations, but the blocks together really give a much better idea (for me) of how the colors would look together.
There is Atlantic Blue again, looking so lovely.
I LOVE the second one. And all of them.
I think I’m going to have to break down and get Atlantic Blue.

  31. Avatar of Melissa Melissa (divinem)

Wow, you’re so helpful, Christine. Thank you!

  32. Nikki

Thank you so much for the ideas in this post!! I just picked up my MAC to the Beach haul today, so I CAN’T wait to try these out!

    You are a genius!! :)

  33. alison

THANK YOU for this! I finished hauling for To the Beach finally (other than getting my Shimmermoss pan and Temperature Rising pencil in the mail!), and I ended up with everything except Getaway Bronze and Beachbound, haha. I’m kind of overwhelmed with product, so this helps SO much!

I bought Atlantic Blue today too, so I think I’m going to give seven’s eye combo a try. I can’t wait for my Shimmermoss to get here so I can try three and four…

  34. sabrina

    love combo 1!
