Blue eyeshadow is such an empowering shade to wear, because it’s so often the, “No way!” shade. It’s vibrant and intense and there are so many good ones available! If you’re hesitant to wear blue eyeshadow, try wearing it with neutrals–perhaps a little blue in the crease or on the lower lash line.

I have a hard time believing that only The 3 Bigs have true blues worthy of this list.

Christine, could you do a post on your favourite matte navy eyeshadow?
Or favourite dark matte eyeshadows?
I know of several purples (e.g. Fig 1), browns (e.g. Handwritten), but I’ve never been able to find a navy.

OMG #167 is beautiful! Might have to buy that! Styledriven from MAC is also a beautiful color. It’s a bit of a light blue though.
Confession: I have Freshwater, Blue Calm and Electric Eel and I hardly ever wear any of them. I love the way they look, though…

MAC’s Star By Night (often listed as a LE dupe for Deep Truth, which I don’t have so I can’t verify that). Gorgeous, gorgeous blue. My eyes are drawn to it every time I open my palette
I used to have Freshwater but I back to MAC’ed it for Russian Red lipstick…best decision ever! I find I only wear turquoise, petrol, or navy blues. Bright blue just seems too Barbie to me, I guess.
