5 Minute Makeup: Neutrals with Urban Decay’s Naked Palette

The Way It was MEANT to Be: So Neutral!
Okay, so I’m pretty the Urban Decay Naked Palette was designed with neutral looks in mind, not so much the ultra smoky look I did yesterday. So this neutral look follows that smokier look up as a quick, work-safe alternative made easy by that palette.
Happy weekend everyone!
You will need the following…
- Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), Urban Decay Virgin Eyeshadow (light champagne beige), Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow (matte medium brown), Urban Decay Darkhorse Eyeshadow (dark chocolate brown), MAC Grain Eyeshadow (highlighter), Urban Decay Whiskey 24/7 Liner (red-brown), Bobbi Brown Denim Extreme Party Mascara (blue)
- Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)
- Cheeks: Chanel Plum Attraction Blush (deep plum)
- Lips: Chanel Emotive (#68) Rouge Allure Lipstick (red-wine), Urban Decay Perversion Lip Junkie (purple-gray)
- Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 116 (dense blush brush), 208 (thin, angled brush)
For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Naked eyeshadow into the crease with the 226 and feather above the natural crease until it fades. Next, apply Virgin eyeshadow all over the lower lid with the 239. Define the crease with Darkhorse eyeshadow using the 219, and then lightly blend Naked eyeshadow softly over it with the 226. Blend Grain eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Whiskey liner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.
For cheeks, apply Plum Attraction blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.
For lips, apply Emotive lipstick first, and then layer Perversion lip junkie for a complementing lip.

Wow, are you wearing contacts? I love all those colored spots in your eyes. They look reptile like, very exotic! Thanks for letting us know about the Naked Palette. I love UD, and have been wanting some of those colors esp Smog. I also wanted Bourbon, but didn't like the glitter so I am excited about whiskey. Can't wait for my order to come in the mail!!!!!
This is so gorgeous! I cannot wait to get my hands on this palette and start experimenting. I need more quality neutrals, and UD really has pulled out all the stops on this one. It's just so classy! Loving the lip color with the subtle eye. It pulls the entire look together!
hellooo!! I love all your looks but my favourites are your neutrals looks. A detail!!! I´m from spain and I read your internet page since two years ago. I don´t understand all the coments or all your words but when I see your photos I think they are great looks. I love makeup and I´m waiting more years for work with the makeup jajaja I will read your page for moooooree yeaarss!! =D
Christine, again,do you think this look would work if you used Chanel Dragon on the lips instead of this combo? Just wondering...
Great look!! Love the lip combo... aah now I want this palette even more! I love UD eyeshadows they are so smooth and pigmented. Totally worth the money :D
Too pretty! It's subtle but gorgeous! Can't wait to try this look (and the other) as soon as I can get the pallette! :)
Absoltuely gorgeous! I love that lip combination, and with the color of you shirt and subtle eyes, you look like a real knockout Christine!
Lovely look. The shadows look like they have a bit of shimmer to them even though you have them labeled as matte. Are they more of a satin?
Naked is a matte, Virgin and Darkforce are not, but Darkforce has a "matte base" and more of an overlaying shimmer.
hi Christine! what a nice look -this is a gorgeous fall look, I think - warm and neutral upstairs, and rich an vampy downstairs :)
