Thanks, Christine, for posting the good red carpet pics of the celeb makeup. I know you have said personally that this does not have a lot of interest for you, so thanks for indulging the rest of us. I find this really interesting as a chance to see the work of top makeup artists and what products they are using to get particular effects. There are also some not-yet-released products, which are fun. Sorry you have had to deal with so many negative personal comments about celebs the last few times – that is so sad. That’s not what this is about. I just read a funny quote by the editorial makeup artist Kay Montano: When I was a kid I used to play with dolls, now I have actresses!

    • No problem! :) By turning off the comments for this round, it was much, much better for me, personally! I didn’t have to stress out over moderating comments nor read through nasty ones either!

You’re far too busy to have to deal with any unnecessary meanness in your life. Personally I just enjoy seeing the highest level of formal adornment, as well as the variety of style and choices, and I think every one of the ladies looked beautiful. Not everything is going to be everybody’s taste, but this is also a great opportunity for people to also see what styles do or do not work in their mind, independent of technique, given that all the makeup and hair is extremely well executed. Nevertheless, this is entertainment – let’s be entertained! I certainly was.

Yay! Thank you for this, Christine. Quick Q: Do you know which shade of NARS Sheer Matte Mandy Moore is wearing? Her skin tone looks so similar to mine!
